Weather

The vines got off to an earlier start than in recent decades. This year, the spring frosts were mild and had no impact on our plots.
The warmer-than-average spring allowed us to enjoy magnificent flowering, which began at the end of May.
The spring and early summer were marked by mild, very wet weather. This equation, which was highly favourable to the development of mildew, required us to keep a close eye on the vines. Veraison began slowly at the end of the first half of July and finished at the beginning of August. August was a radically different month from July. The weather became dry with normally warm temperatures.
Conditions intensified in September, with several weeks of temperatures above 40°C and hot nights.
Harvesting began in mid-September and finished at the end of the month. The juices were concentrated and rich, but with very good acidity, which will guarantee great ageing potential. The tannins are well-structured, silky and supple.

Weather

The 2022 vintage will be remembered by all. The particularly mild winter led to a very early budburst. Frosts were avoided during the cool nights of April. Flowering began around May 15th in ideal weather conditions, but the end of flowering was marked by violent storms. This last rainy episode then gave way to a very hot and dry summer. The drought was the most concerning element of this vintage. August only rain helped the vines to complete their veraison. The overall yield was small due to the lack of water but the quality is oustanding.

Tasting notes

The 2021 is both refined and balanced. The palate is full and silky with notes of white flowers and exotic fruits. The velvety texture and body give a very long finish.

Weather

One vintage follows another but no two are alike. The 2021 vintage called for a lot of patience and commitment. We worked relentlessly to protect our vines from disease pressure. The vintage began by an especially mild and rainy winter. Bud break was uniform and occured early but the extra-cold and rainy spring meant that the head start was soon lost. Flowering began mid-May in ideally warm and dry weather. The cold and damp summer called for watchfulness at all times. An intra-plot selection and a rigorous sorting of the grapes allowed us to make a high quality wine.
